Concepts are mere abstractions from what is known through intuitive perception, and they have arisen from our arbitrarily thinking away or dropping of some qualities and our retention of others - Schopenhauer
Define: An abstract or symbolic tag that attempts to capture the essence of reality.
A concept lives in the realm of ideas. It has infinite possibilities that await to be created and re-created by the mind that absorbs it. We prefer working with concepts and shaping it to suit the purpose of the project. This allows one to have an experience of the concept within a contextual field.
An example may serve here. Time is a concept. To experience time, you may set your clock to 15 minutes ahead of the current time before going to bed. Upon waking at 5am, at the ring of the alarm clock, you will go about your activities, forgetting about the advanced setting of your clock. You may be delayed and experience the state of being late for an apointment, rushing to your car and racing to the office, only to arrive 15 minutes early and then remembering about the change you made to your clock. You may experience a pleasant sensation of relief and relaxation, realising that you are not late for the important apointment. Well done. You have manipulated and shaped the concept of Time to create your experience within a contextual field.
At Mojah Media, concepts are used to produce the desired result and experience. Concepts are foundational, abstract and open. They can be shaped and changed to produce an experience.
Some of the concepts Mojah Media focuses on are Energy, Indvidual, Community, Colour, Distance, Field, Time, Equlibrium, Harmony. These concepts are used to shape projects into serving their purpose and producing the desired experience.
